What is our mission?
YPIC aims at representing the extra-scientific aspects of being a young researcher and favoring the networking of young European scientists in proteomics. All in all, our aim is to connect and support early career researchers on their path through and beyond academia, and you can be part of that!
Our events
Student Proteomics Fund (SPF)
The YPIC Student Proteomics Fund will allow a student’s research project to become a reality by awarding 5000 EUR to be spent on proteomics analysis. SPF is open to Bachelors, Masters and PhD students who are carrying out research at a European university. The top three awardees will be invited to join the APG which will allow the young scientists to engage directly with the YPIC community and receive feedback on their project proposals.
Annual Proteomics Gathering (APG)
The annual proteomics gathering (APG) is an engaging event held in various vibrant locations across Europe! Specifically organized by early career researchers for their peers. This event connects early career researchers with local scientists and YPIC, fostering networking opportunities, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. Join us in Madrid in 2026!
Webinars
YPIC organizes engaging webinars focused on essential non-scientific topics for early career researchers (ECR). These sessions cover vital skills such as networking, work-life balance, career development, and mental health, providing valuable insights to support personal and professional growth in academia.
